PIERRE VILME

Founder, Managing Director

Prior to organizing Maroon Equity, Mr. Vilme worked for Bank of New York, (Unit Investment Trust) PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP (Hedge Fund), and was a principal for a top CPA firm in South Florida for over 15 years. He worked in the hotel/condominium industry where he gained significant experience in capital raising, investing, and corporate restructuring.

Specifically, Mr. Vilme was responsible for obtaining financing of over $100 million for various hotel/condominiums, e.g., Turnberry Isles South Condominium Association, Inc.; The Grand Venetian Condominium Association, Inc.; Buckley Towers Condominium; Parkview Point Condominium; Towers of Oceanview East Condominium; and Atlantic Hotels Resort and Spa.

Pierre serves on the boards of directors and interim CFO of Maroon portfolio companies and the Downtown Neighborhood Alliance Association in Miami.

He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Taxation with honors from Long Island University.

BUFFINGTON ARMAND

Partner

Buffington Armand has been a partner with Maroon Equity since its inception. He is primarily responsible for transaction execution, due diligence, financial analysis, portfolio management, and fund management.

Mr. Armand began his career at Bank of New York, Unit Investment Trust Division, Lazard, Lehman Brothers/Barclay Bank, and BNP Paribas, where he worked on a variety of leveraged finance transactions.

Mr. Armand is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a Certified Public Accountant.

STEVE STROM

Partner

Steve Strom is a partner and interim Chief Financial Officer since inception. Strom has responsibility for the firm’s financial reporting, regulatory compliance, accounting functions, and Limited Partner reporting.

Prior to joining Maroon, Mr. Strom was a CFO at Larkspur Property from 2011 to the present. From 1992-2008, Mr. Strom was Vice President of Finance and Accounting at JC Trading Inc, a privately-held jewelry manufacturer.

Mr. Strom holds a B.A. from York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and is a Certified Public Accountant and holds the professional designation of Certified Fraud Examiner and Community Association Manager (CAM).
